Bilt Daily Rewards without the card

From January 15, 2027 through December 31, 2027, Bilt says members who do not have a Bilt Card earn a Daily Reward for an on-time rent or mortgage payment instead of guaranteed Bilt Points. Bilt's words on the Daily Rewards article, updated October 27, 2026: "You will earn a daily reward in lieu of your guaranteed Bilt Points." Cardholders keep earning points on housing, and Daily Rewards are added on top. The official prize rules are not out yet. Bilt says they will be published before launch.
TL;DR
- Starts January 15, 2027. Runs through December 31, 2027, then resets for 2028.
- Rent without a Bilt Card: one Daily Reward per 25-day payment period, in place of guaranteed points. A split payment does not count twice.
- You have 30 days to reveal it. If you don't, Bilt says it expires and cannot be restored.
- You pick one of two options: an instant prize, such as Bilt Points or Bilt Cash, or a collectible piece. Four pieces of a set win a grand prize. Odds and dollar values are not published.
What changes for you, by how you pay
The "before" column is the current point rule on Bilt's article "Can I earn Bilt Points if I don't live at a Bilt Alliance Property?", updated January 26, 2026. That article is older than the October 27 Daily Rewards article. The "after" column is the Daily Rewards article and the October 27, 2026 newsroom post. The Daily Rewards article does not give a separate rule for homes in the Bilt Alliance.

Payments made before January 15, 2027 stay on the current point-earning terms. Payments on or after that date earn a Daily Reward. Bilt also says the only way to earn points on every rent and mortgage payment is with a Bilt Card, and that cardholders and partner cards still earn points on housing payments.
How Daily Rewards work
What earns one
An eligible on-time rent or mortgage payment earns one Daily Reward. Bilt says you can earn that housing reward once per month, measured as 25 days, no matter how many payments you make in the period. Splitting rent does not earn a second one. Flexible rent payments are included in that sentence. A mortgage counts.
A purchase of at least $5 at a participating neighborhood partner also earns one. You can see participating places in the Bilt app. The cap is one Daily Reward per day for the first qualifying action. A housing payment can earn a second, bonus reward on that same day. More partner visits the same day do not earn more Daily Rewards. Bilt says you can still earn Bilt Points on those visits.
Bilt says eligible purchases made with Bilt Cash or Bilt Points at participating partners can qualify, subject to the $5 minimum and the partner's terms.
Reveal, choose, collect
You have 30 days from when Bilt recognizes the qualifying action to reveal the options. If you don't, it expires. Bilt's article says a missed reveal cannot be restored.
Each reward shows two options. You pick one: an instant prize, such as Bilt Points or Bilt Cash, or a collectible piece toward a grand prize. The October 27, 2026 newsroom post names both Bilt Points and Bilt Cash as instant prizes. Collect all 4 pieces of a set to win that set's grand prize. Wins are subject to review.
The program runs January 15, 2027 through December 31, 2027, then resets for 2028. Collectible progress resets at the end of the calendar year. Pieces from 2027 do not carry into 2028.
If a qualifying transaction is refunded or canceled, Bilt says the reward may be reviewed and reversed under the official rules.
Grand prizes Bilt has named
The October 27, 2026 newsroom post lists these, and says all prizes are subject to terms to be provided before January 15, 2027:
- $1,000,000 toward the purchase of a home
- 10,000,000 Bilt Points
- Free rent or mortgage for a year
- Free Lyft rides for a year, up to $5,000
- "Your dream getaway"
Bilt has not published the odds. The newsroom also says more prizes and rules come in the new year.
Is 250 points a month better than a Daily Reward?
The 250-point figure is the January 26, 2026 article, for a bank or debit BillPay rent payment. Twelve months at that rate is 3,000 points.
Bilt has not published what a Daily Reward pays, or the odds of any prize. A known 3,000 points cannot be ranked against a prize with no published value. The Daily Rewards article says those guaranteed housing points, for members without a Bilt Card, are what Daily Rewards replace on January 15, 2027.
If you want a reward you can count
These are the options we track. None of the links on this page are paid. Our disclosure says the site has no affiliate links right now.
- Bilt Card. Credit approval. Bilt says cardholders keep points on housing, up to 1.25X under the housing brackets, with no transaction fee on housing paid through Bilt. New card offers from January 1, 2027 do not get the 4% Flexible Bilt Cash option. Details: Bilt card and Bilt 2027 changes.
- Piñata. Our Piñata page lists $5 a month for the tier that reports rent to all three bureaus, and a free tier that does not report. Piñata pays its own reward points, not Bilt Points. Piñata.

Rent reporting is a separate question from points. Free rent reporting services.
Does this change Bilt's free rent reporting?
The Daily Rewards article does not mention rent reporting. Bilt's enrollment article, updated October 16, 2026, says members can build a credit history with free rent reporting to the three major credit bureaus. It does not say Daily Rewards change that, and it does not promise a higher score. A rent tradeline is not the same thing as a score increase. Scoring models and lenders differ.

Bilt already says a purchase is not required. The article's line is: "No purchase necessary. An alternative method of entry will be provided via mail-in. Details on mail-in entries will be provided by the launch."
FAQ
When does Bilt Daily Rewards start and end?
It starts January 15, 2027 and runs through December 31, 2027, then resets for 2028. Collectible pieces do not carry into 2028.
Do I need a Bilt Card?
No. Bilt says you do not need a Bilt Card to earn a Daily Reward, and that cardholders keep their cardholder benefits. The housing-point replacement is the change for members who do not have the card.
How many Daily Rewards can I get for rent each month?
One per 25-day payment period, even if you split the payment. A housing payment can also be a bonus reward on a day you already earned one from a neighborhood purchase.
What happens if I don't reveal a Daily Reward in 30 days?
Bilt says it expires and cannot be restored.
Do collectible pieces carry over to 2028?
No. Bilt says progress resets at the end of each calendar year, and pieces collected in 2027 do not carry into 2028.
Is a purchase necessary to win?
Bilt says no. A mail-in method of entry will be provided, with details by launch. Those details were not on the article when we read it on Oct 29, 2026.
Does a split rent payment count twice?
No. Bilt says the housing reward is once per 25-day period, regardless of how many payments you make in that period.
